Dilworth Reservoir

Type: Reservoir. Map: Link Availability: All members who have paid the Dilworth supplement. Disabled Access: The distance between the gate and the southern edge of the water is short (approx. 10 yards) but is over rough grass. Species: Trout, Rainbow and Brown. Grid Reference of Main Access Point: SD 617382 Car Parking: There is space to park cars, carefully, around the road junction to the South East of the Reservoir. General Description: A small reservoir with the dam wall at its western end. Access Arrangements: Access is through a pedestrian gate in the Southern wall. The gate is closed with a combination lock the number of which is in your handbook.  Restrictions: •Members may retain only two fish per day, with a limit of four fish per week. All other fish must be returned immediately.· •Fishing is allowed from all banks excluding the Dam end (nearest Longridge). Under no circumstances is boat fishing or wading allowed. •Fly fishing is the only permitted method. Flies should be of a traditional pattern and tied to barbless hooks. LURES ARE NOT ALLOWED.· •The season on Dilworth runs from the 15th March until the 31st January. •The close proximity of public roads to the Reservoir requires anglers to take particular care when casting. Cars must be parked so that no inconvenience is caused to others.
