Disabled Access: Cars can be parked within 100 metres of the river but access between the two is over muddy and rutted fields.
Species: Barbel, Chub, Dace, Eel , Salmon, Trout, Sea Trout and Grayling.

Car Parking:
• There is tourist parking on Greenside and adjacent to the Village Front Stretch.
• There is parking for up to six cars is on the road leading up to the entrance to the sewerage plant. Please do not drive on the field.
• There is also parking for one or two cars on Shorton Lane just past Boathouse Farm (see P on map).
General Description: Two kilometres of single bank fishing extending from the Village to Red Bank.
Access Arrangements: Road access is via the pumping station access road behind Lower Alston farm. This road is to be approached from the
Village via Popes Croft (next to the Playing Fields) and not through Lower Alston Farm.
Pedestrian access can be made through the yard at Lower Alston Farm. Coming from the Village turn left at the cross roads as you leave the farm
and follow the road around the back of the farm past the slurry container. Continue on the road towards the sewerage plant. Access to the river is
through the gate to the left of the plant's entrance.
Restrictions:
THERE ARE SOME ELECTRICAL POWER CABLES THAT CROSS LOW OVER THE RIVER NEAR TO THE SEWERAGE PLANT. FISHING IS FORBIDDEN
BETWEEN THE SIGNS FOR SAFETY REASONS.
