Woodfold Farm Fishery

Type: Six lakes. Availability: 21 rods per week with a maximum of five per day. Disabled Access: Some of the lakes are within a short distance of the parking so should suit those with mobility problems. Species: Multiple; different lakes holding different species including barbel, carp, tench, bream and roach. Grid Reference of Main Access Point: SD 567421 Car Parking: There is good parking around most of the lakes. General Description: Woodfold Farm Fisheries, Woodfold Farm, Goosnargh, Preston, PR3 2ES. Tel 01995 640347 Mob. 07711411542. Fishery web site link. Access Arrangements: These are bookable with the owner,  John Cornthwaite,  either by phone or text 24 hours before arrival. Restrictions:  In addition to normal Club rules the following rules are applied by the fishery and must be strictly observed: RULES for Season 2019/20 1. Please use barbless hooks – at all times 2. No ground bait, bloodworm, boilies, tiger nuts or look-a-like substitute products 3. Limited use of trout/salmon pellets or other oil based products, or we may have to consider banning the use of these products totally. 4. No keep nets except by prior consent.  All fish over 1lb to be weighed and returned to water immediately. 5. All fish to be returned to the water they were caught from – no fish to be transferred in keep nets to other lakes! 6. The use of bite alarms must be kept to a minimum, therefore wind in your line to where you are happy before setting the bait alarm.  (We have had complaints about the noise from these). 7. Landing mats/unhooking mats to be used at all times for fish over 2lb 8. No handling fish with towels. 9. No spinning 10. Junior members age 14 and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times 11. Anyone found not adhering to the guest ticket procedure will be fined £40.00. 12. Please take your litter home with you!  (If you brought it full you can take it home empty). 13. Any members losing line in trees that is inaccessible to you to clear away yourself, must report it to John. Anyone found breaking any of these rules will be fined £40.00.
